Who We Are
A Virginia Nonprofit community organization, was created in December of 1997.
FUR’s mission is to provide families with training, affordable housing, awareness, technical and financial assistance, and support through a family network by providing programs necessary to improve the quality of the family.
- • Establish Partnerships to Build and Renovate Properties for the Good of Community Development
- • Provide Educational, Marketable Skill Training, Financial and Referral Assistance to Families
- • Develop Programs, Technical and Financial Assistance for Small Businesses
- • Create Jobs, New Ventures with Employment and Investment Opportunities to Improve Financial Needs and Manage Economic Obligations
- • Expand the Range of Housing and Homeownership Opportunities for Low-to-Moderate Income Families and Manage Rental Properties for the Homeless
- • Acquire Commercial Property to Revitalize Communities for Promoting Businesses to Provide Employment for Youth and Families
- • Partnerships in Coordinating Activities with Schools, Local Citizens, Government, and Community Organizations to Develop Afterschool Programs, Improve Community Facilities, and Public Services
- • Provide Technology Computer Services and Training to Families
